Registrants often use subcontractors. As such, the responsible party can be different than the party performing the work. ROWay keeps track of both the registrant and the subcontractor so you will have the right contact information.

Increasing efficiency
Apply for permits at the Service Desk or 24 hours a day from any internet enabled computer. The My Permits screen provides registrants easy access to the status of their permits. ROWay provides both the municipality and registrants with a helpful interface for permit application and information exchange.
Requirements are clearer so compliance is easier. When an application is submitted, it’s immediately available for consideration. This cuts out the days required by mail with legacy paper based processes. When a permit is approved, the registrant is notified and can print the permit immediately. The time saved significantly increases the opportunity to have the permit on-site and frees time for additional management of the public right-of-way.
Multiple staff members can receive application, approval and closure notifications. ROWay serves as a reliable means for municipal stakeholders to stay current on permitting activity.
All in one place
Historically, online receipt of everything needed for permit applications has been difficult. Plans, bonds and as-built ‘files’ were not easily accommodated. ROWay resolves this. When an application is submitted, a notification is immediately sent to the approver. In that notification are the files submitted with the application. In this way, both the application data and supporting information are in your hands - right away. Want the files stored online and integrated with the permit record? The ‘E-records’ module does just that.
Manage the life of the permit
Registrants are provided a ‘Certificate of Completion’ so they can indicate when work is done. Ask for a digital picture of the site. Or, have them answer questions related to permit closure online.
When the ‘Certificate of Completion’ is submitted, the municipality is immediately notified and can conduct inspection or close the permit based on the information provided.
Liability inspections/Closure inspections
In the protection of public infrastructure, municipalities are concerned with what the permit site will look like in a year, or two years from now. ROWay lets you schedule a liability inspection reminder. When the time comes, you are notified and provided the ability to make inspection notes. ROWay provides features for both clousre and future liability inspections.
